Let's Go!

I need a project.
I need adventure.
I need to explore my new city.

I attended a Cleveland Pecha Kucha event this weekend and left wanting to do... something. Something that would inspire me. Something I could research. Something that would teach me about the world and its people. Something that pushes me.

When my son was little, we'd start every school year off with a different cuisine at one of the amazing ethnic restaurants in Columbus. It was a way for him to broaden his palate and worldview. It was a way to mark another year of new things to learn. It was a way to connect. Adults need that, too. I moved to Cleveland a couple months ago and I've been desperate to explore my new city. What better way than eating my way around it?

That's where this project came in.

I've chosen 52 countries through a random number generator and will try to find a restaurant in the Cleveland area serving that cuisine. If I can't find a restaurant in Cleveland, I'll try to find one in Ohio. If I can't find a restaurant in Ohio, I'll try to find someone from that country living in Ohio that would be willing to share a meal with me. If I can't find a person, I'll find a recipe.

Let's go.
