England! Greece!

It's hard to write about food when the dishes and experience were kind of boring! But for the sake of the project, I'm going to at least post a few photos so I can check these two countries off the list.

UK Pies & Fries is an offshoot of Gray House Pizza that was offering up UK-style meat pies and, you guessed it, fries from a tiny space around the corner from their pizza shop. Except when I went, the tiny space wasn't open so you ordered your pie from the pizza place instead after lots of confused looks from the staff. I ordered the Steak and Ale Pie which is the classic option - beef slow cooked in Great Lakes Brewery Eliot Ness lager and then piled into their (delicious) pie crust. Weirdly, this was served to me cold even though I said I was dining in. It could have used some of the gravy that was offered as a side option as it was very, very dry. Maybe because it was cold? Anyway, I would not recommend. And apparently, not many others did either because their website says they are on a "hiatus."

Next up was Greek at a new neighborhood place, Zina's Greek Street Food. We ordered the soulvaki and gyro along with some rice pudding and baklava. The gyro and soulvaki were HUGE. We were definitely regretting not sharing one! My only beef was calling this street food and then charging $13 for a gyro is kind of offensive. I ate soulvaki each night we were in Athens and I don't think I paid more than 2 Euros for one and that was usually with a giant beer! But! Zina's is great and I'm excited to try more dishes there. The inside of the strip mall spot is really cute, too!

Here's to more exciting adventures ahead!

28 and 29 down, 23 to go!
